I'm really excited about my upcoming poetry event entitled "Poetry in 2 Acts" scheduled for Thursday, February 16, 2017. It will be a celebration of Black History Month. This time around, I'll be sharing the stage with my friends mezzo-soprano Terri-Ann Wint Scar[a de Masselis and guitarist Alex Eloise.

As the name implies, the event will unfold in 2 Acts: Part 1, introduced with a song, will focus on pain and loss, while the second act, also introduced by a song, will focus on identity.

This is a fundraising event and all proceeds will support charities serving the black community in Ottawa.  I look forward to welcoming you!

My first poetry reading of September  29, 2016, has come and gone. An exhilarating, but exhausting experience. It was a great night of rhyme, rhythm and regalement. I've had such an outpouring of love and support - only positive feedback.  I'm so thankful for the assistance and encouragement from family, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers.  Below are a few sample photos to provide you with just a taste of what took place. I'm very much looking forward to hosting my first poetry reading leading up to the launch of my first volume of poetry in 2017.  Please drop by the Tea Party Cafe on 119 York (at Dalhousie) near the Byward Market in Ottawa, on Thursday, September 29, from 6-7pm.
